Yr7 Tutor Parent evening & Supporting your child at home

In the last week of September we host a virtual Year 7 Tutor/Parent Evening. The purpose of this evening is for Year 7 tutors and parents/carers to introduce themselves to each other, and point you towards some resources to support your child and to get a quick feeling for how well you child has settled in at NSG over the first few weeks. We have produced a series of talks relating to our school, including supporting reading at home, supporting maths and numeracy, supporting digital literacy and online safety and how you can support your child at home.

As such, we have created a few short videos. The first one introduces you to Rachael Blakey, the Academic Standards Leader for Year 7. This is followed by some of our curriculum leaders who will give you a flavour of the content, delivery, and support we give our Year 7 students and how you can help support your child at home.
